I don't know the Eircode: can I still run a check?

Is this the same as a surveyor's report?
No, they answer different questions. A surveyor inspects the physical building (structure, damp, roof). An Eircode property check covers the location and its records: flood, radon, planning, prices, crime, broadband. Most buyers run the €29 data check before bidding, then commission a surveyor once an offer is accepted.
Is this a survey?
No. It is a desk check of official data for the address, ready in minutes, not an inspection of the building. A surveyor is a different job for a later stage; the report tells you whether the house is worth paying one for.
